Facebook Is No Place to Build

This exact thing happened to a musician friend of mine in Australia. They use her stolen identity to sell women’s apparel. No recourse, no way to fix it, no way to communicate with the few thousand fans she’d earned. Years of (unpaid) work down the drain.

Facebook is not a serious tool for creatives.

Even if you are willing to look past its obvious poisonous societal effects, Facebook is just shitty software, at base. Why would anyone want to build there… when it can all fail this easily?
